So I tried, and I would love to know what you think. Here is my entry for the spoonflower and Fabric 8 contest hosted by Spoonflower and R. Kaufman designs. The theme was pen and ink and I used some drawings I did with my rapidograph set.
enjoy!
Things have been busy in the land of larageorgine. Many house projects that need to be completed ASAP.
That aside, I found a contest that is presented by Spoonflower and Robert Kaufman Fabrics with Fabric 8.
Theme: Pen & Ink but find the official rules here: http://www.fabric8contest.com/
I have finally joined Society 6 and uploaded my first 2 designs, “The Hungry Bear” and “Wine Woman”. Two black and white illustrations hand drawn with my Rapidograph pen set I received as a birthday present. Find the newest items here, or by going to my shop tab and clicking on the S6 Button.

This coming weeks contest for spoonflower is a Robot cheater quilt. For those that are not avid sewers or quilt makers, a cheater quilt is a pattern that is already in the squares (or rectangles) and the sewer just needs to add top stitching (well and the stuffing and backing) but the main job of piecing the art work is completed. I took the time to try different robots then proceeded to ask a few kids which robots they liked. From the mix of the 2 this is what I came up with. Enjoy!
A request to see my geometric in different colorways pushed me to try to please. See the new color ways for my Art Deco print print below. They will soon be available for sale on www.spoonflower.com
This weeks contest was Bicycles in 3 colors. I guess I went with color and sketches to make my submission. I hand sketched these bicycles and altered them making stripes and tiles. Over the holiday season I made some custom tea towels for friends and family that I thought I would share. I know the idea is not new, nor is it the first time I have seen it. BUT, it was something I made limited quantites of (2 sets total) and passed along to 2 families.

This set of towels I made for a friend who’s logo I created. I took the typography off and made the image the main focus for these.
